2019 Ride for the Roses

Our 2019 'Ride for the Roses' fundraiser was held Saturday, May 4th at the Kaufman County Fairgrounds just south of Kaufman.  The weather was beautiful, the venue was perfect, and our incredible supporters were nothing short of amazing.

The evening began with our opening ceremony that included a dove release by Jana Ewing Syvrud and her family, in honor of Jacob Eli, and the introduction of our incredible riders.  Skippy, Fredrica & Sugar, just a few of the incredible horses that give so much of themselves to us and our program, joined them as well.

We then moved inside where we enjoyed an amazing dinner, The Kentucky Derby live streamed on the big screen, the silent and live auctions and lots of good fellowship, stories and laughter.

This was our most successful fundraiser to date, and we look forward to doing it again in 2020!

2019 Volunteer Appreciation Dinner

Saturday, June 15th, we held our 'Volunteer Appreciation Dinner' at Carmona's Tex Mex in Terrell.  We are absolutely nothing without our volunteers.  They are vital to our program, and the hard work they put in is so incredibly appreciated!  They give their valuable time so unselfishly in so many ways.  It will never be enough...but we say...THANK YOU!

2019 Christmas Open House

Saturday, December 14th, we held our annual Christmas Open House.  It's always great to see old faces and meet new ones.

The welcome center was full of smiles and laughter while everyone enjoyed crafts, hot chocolate, Christmas treats and pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus.  At 12:30, everyone made their way to the barn to enjoy the best part of the day...our Parade of Riders!  We opened the parade with the presentation of the flag, the Pledge of Allegiance, prayer and a live nativity.  Then it was time for our riders and horses to take center stage and do what they do best.

It was another successful event, and we couldn't do it without our incredible volunteers who give so much.  So to them, we say THANK YOU!

Until next year!
